It may seem impossible to stay on track with healthful eating while surrounded by the stresses of family, the allure of baked goods, nostalgic dishes, and persistent grandmothers this holiday season. But I assure you that you can get through “part one” of the season while keeping your health on track. Here are a few tips to get you started:
Step one: Get Adjusted! This is so important to digestive health (for our not-so-strong moments), immune health, adrenal health, and will give you the upper hand no matter what you eat this holiday season.
Step two: Portion Size. Sometimes we have dishes like grandma’s homemade rolls, or our mother’s famous pumpkin pie staring us down. Here is the amazing part – you get to choose! Having a bite to bring you back to your holidays of old and to keep mom happy is absolutely an option; as is having a heaping helping of those marshmallow covered sweet potatoes. The choice is yours.
Step three: Bring Your Own Side Dish (or two). To help you with this option, we have compiled a helpful Pinterest board to get you inspired and armed for “part one” of a healthful holiday season.
